Adam: What's going on, everybody Adam here with etrailer. Today, we're going to be taking a look at the Pewag Snox Pro self-tensioning snow tire chain on our 2013 Volkswagen Jetta. So what we have here is a relatively unique tire chain. They are going to be made of the same materials as most, just a manganese nickel alloy steel construction, and we are going to have a diamond pattern. And we have cross chains connecting those, so it's going to be great on the front wheels here to give us really good turning and traction. Of course, it's going to increase the traction, but this is probably going to be the bigger link that you can probably have with this wheel well clearance. more

Konig Standard Snow Tire Chains Installation - 2013 Volkswagen Jetta- Video

Today on our 2013 Volkswagen Jetta we're gonna be doing a test fit on the Konig Standard Snow Tire Chains, part number TH01221090. The tires I'll be working with today is 205-55r16. What I really like about these chains, is that they're very quick and easy to install, and they also have a self-tensioning system right in here. We're not gonna have to purchase any other rubber adjusters or tensioners to make our chain stay snug against our tire, this system makes sure that it's tight. These chains have a diamond pattern, which is gonna give you more coverage around your tire, when compared to a ladder pattern. It's gonna give you great traction for starts and stops.The D-links in the chain are gonna dig into that snow and ice, and provide you with the traction that you need through rough conditions. more

Glacier Cable Snow Tire Chains Review - 2013 Volkswagen Jetta- Video

Man: Today on our 2013 Volkswagen Jetta we will be test fitting the Glacier Cable Snow Tire Chain, part number PW 1034. Our Jetta has tire size 205/5516 and with it being front wheel drive, we will be installing the tire chains on the front tires. To begin our install, we will lay the chain flat out on the ground to undue any kinks or tangles. This will ensure that the tire chain will fit correctly around our tire. We will now place the tire chain over our tire, making sure that the hooks are facing outward so we do not damage our side walls. We will then move to the inside of the tire connecting the two ends and securing the excess cable with the link. On the outside of the tire we'll again connect the two ends and secure the excess cable with the link. We have an allowance of plus or minus one link per the manufacturer to ensure we get a proper fit. more

Today on our 2013 Volkswagen Jetta, we will be installing the Glacier V-Trac Cable Snow Tire Chains, part number pw1930v. our Jetta has tire size 205-55-16 and because it is front wheel drive, we will be installing the tire chains on the front wheels. To begin our test fit, well lay the chains flat on the ground, undoing any kinks or tangles. Well now drape the tire chains over the tires, being sure theyre centered and that our hooks are facing outward so we dont damage the sidewall of our tire. Well begin on the inside by connecting the two ends of the cable. Well now move to the outside of the tire, fit our two ends together and secure the excess cable with the red S-hook. more

Glacier Square-Link Snow Tire Chains Review - 2013 Volkswagen Jetta- Video

Today on our 2013 Volkswagen Jetta, we will be test fitting the glacier square-link snow tire chain part number PWPLC1134. We will be test fitting the tire chains on tire size 2055516 and with this being a front row drive vehicle, we will be installing the tire chains on the front tires. To begin our test fit, we will lay the chains flat on the ground, undealing any tangles that we might have in our chains. This will ensure proper fit around our tire. We will now drape the tire chains over our wheel making sure that it is centered and that the hooks are facing outwards so we don't damage the outer wall of our tire. At the inside of the tire, we will connect the hook and link. We will then move to the outside of the tire where we will insert the link on to the chain tensioner and hook it with the other link. The manufacturer does recommend that cable tensioner part number PW99. more
